To minimise our waste generation, at Yathartha we have in house Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) effluent treatment plant that treats 30,000 litres of effluent in a day. We believe in leading by example and promote such sustainable practices. We use this treated water for in house treatments, office use and plantation.
At Yathartha, we inspire to leave healthy and sustainable planet for our future generation and one big endeavour in support of that our solar energy project. We currently have a 150 kilo watt solar panels setup atop our industrial units. We plan to add another 250 kilo watt of solar panels by 2025 in an order to reduce our carbon foot print.
In our journey to help the environment, we also have a rain harvesting setup where in we harvest the purest form of water i.e. rain water. Water is a commodity that has turned to be one of the most vital resource and we ensure that not an ounce of it goes to waste. We harvest water and use it for in house processes and plantation.
We have set up a soil and water testing for farmers completely free of charge. Any farmer can deposit samples for various types of testing to helps understand their water and soil properties. This initiative helps us connect and directly assist our communities. We are also able to provide insights for their irrigation and yield. This has resulted in fostering a harmony and camaraderie between workers and farmers.
